POST 4 LAYOUT  Using the reference I collected, I modeled alot of different types of objects ranging from chairs, stools, buckets. It was great practice to model and I was happy to have so many different types of geometry to place in my scene. GREY BOXING AND LAYOUT  The following shots are the current layout of the scene. I'm not happy with it but I feel I need to move on since time is running out. I took all the objects I was modelling and began to place them into my scene. Trying to find the best way to fit them in. I tried my best to fit in alot of different types of objects. To do this I placed alot of the boxing bags up against the walls. The center of the space was for the boxing bag the character will interact with, and the boxing ring.  Overall this proved to be the most challenging part of the assessment. It was hard to fit all the elements I wanted. It took me a long time to arrange the space effectively. I had to settle for what I had...

POST 3 MODELLING For this stage I started by modelling some of the boxing equipment. Having the real thing in front as I modeled proved to be very helpful in seeing the details and overall form. This saved a lot of time during the modelling process.                                                                                                                                                                                                                  ...

POST 2 REFERENCE Once I had decided on my frames and the drawings were looking good I wanted to do some research into designing the space for my scene. I looked at various sources to find out how a boxing gym is laid out gym and what items can be found in a gym.   I looked at movies, images and documentaries. I looked at other projects which were similar to mine, some wireframe shots of specific models.  Here are a few shots of some of my research.  MAYWEATHER BOXING CLUB  WILD CARD BOXING GYM  Also some shots of some not so glamorous gym set ups. All of these were useful for coming up with ideas for my own space.  These all helped me with the layout ideas and some of the practical details like lighting and equipment set up. I also took photos of my own equipment so I could better model them in my scene.  The following photos are from  my own equipment. ...

POST 1 INTRODUCTION This Blog will highlight the progress for my animatic project for 3D artistry 2. My name is Mauricio Pizarro and the following posts will show the progress of my practical project, highlighting the different steps I take to complete it. Step 1 The story My process began by coming up with a story for my animatic. I started off by drawing simple thumbnails exploring ideas for a short story. This was surprisingly hard at first. Trying to to come up with a story for 30 seconds max proved to be difficult. Early Drawings As you can see my character started off as an adult pro boxer, on his way to the gym to train. After getting feedback my story was a little boring and needed an update to add more interest. I kept working making more thumbnails until I was happy with the story. My final storyboard, I made the character a kid, roughly 10 yeas old. The reason I did this was because being a kid he could have more struggles with a simple task. L...
