POST 1
INTRODUCTION
This Blog will highlight the progress for my animatic project for 3D artistry 2. My name is Mauricio Pizarro and the following posts will show the progress of my practical project, highlighting the different steps I take to complete it.
Step 1
The story
My process began by coming up with a story for my animatic. I started off by drawing simple thumbnails exploring ideas for a short story. This was surprisingly hard at first. Trying to to come up with a story for 30 seconds max proved to be difficult.
Early Drawings
As you can see my character started off as an adult pro boxer, on his way to the gym to train. After getting feedback my story was a little boring and needed an update to add more interest.
I kept working making more thumbnails until I was happy with the story.
My final storyboard, I made the character a kid, roughly 10 yeas old. The reason I did this was because being a kid he could have more struggles with a simple task. Like being too weak to hit the bag or too short even. I could fit this into a short story for my project.
Above are my refined storyboards, I was happy with the character, the struggle the character has to go through and the story. From this point, my boards were approved and I began to move on to the next step which was research.
